Digital Pen Works With Ordinary Paper Pads
posted by Editor on Tuesday June 11, @06:01PM
Gesture Interfaces Several technologies have emerged that allow writing and drawings to be scanned in using digital pens, which transmit strokes to a laptop or handheld computing device. However, many of these pens require the use of specialized paper for tracking motion. Seiko's InkLink overcomes this limitation with a scanning device that clips onto the top of ordinary paper pads, and continuously listens for communications from the InkLink pen while it tracks the natural movement of the hand. As you write anywhere on the paper pad with the InkLink pen, the InkLink Data Clip reads precisely the location of the pen tip and communicates its exact position to the computer. The device costs USD 99.00 and can be purchased online.
