Open Source Flight Simulator
posted by Editor on Monday November 19, @03:40PM
Development Resources The FlightGear Flight Simulator project is a free, open-source, multi-platform, cooperative flight sim development project. Source code for the entire project is available under the GNU General Public License. The project's goal is to create a sophisticated flight simulator framework for the development and pursuit of interesting flight simulator ideas. They are developing a solid, basic sim that can be expanded and improved upon by anyone interested in contributing. The source code can be downloaded here (it supports Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux), and here is a gallery of screenshots.

I'm not a robot like you. I don't like having disks crammed into me... unless they're Oreos, and then only in the mouth. -- Fry
