Open Source Implementation Of VRML
posted by Editor on Sunday October 21, @05:48PM
Development Resources OpenVRML is a free cross-platform runtime for VRML97 available under the GPL. The basic OpenVRML distribution includes libraries that you can use to add VRML support to an application, and Lookat, a simple stand-alone VRML browser. Here are some screenshots of OpenVRML in action, and the code can be downloaded here. While there have been complaints about the effectiveness of VRML, it remains the standard for describing 3D content on the web.

    lgpl, not gpl (Score:0)

OpenVRML is licensed under the LGPL, not the GPL.

If you're wondering why I didn't use capital letters for the acronyms in the subject, it's because this site's idiotic "lameness filter" choked on them.

I'm not a robot like you. I don't like having disks crammed into me... unless they're Oreos, and then only in the mouth. -- Fry
